Worship at the Well

Hey Prayer Team!

We are excited to let you know that this Saturday night is our first worship service.  It’s called Worship at the Well because that’s exactly where it is.  The “ol’ well on the hill” as James Taylor puts it.  We’re meeting at the Old Well on UNC’s Campus – an historic landmark in Chapel Hill.  The greatest possible way that you could support us in this first worship service and the others coming up in our “Summer of Love” is to pray…and pray hard.  We are hoping to see this reach many unchurched people.  God has already been doing some awesome things to make this happen, and we know the power of His Love – now we get to share it.  7pm Saturday – please pray then and even now in preparation for worship.

Looking Summerward…

As the summer is quickly arriving we are celebrating a great success with the initial phase of  “The Story”, our bible study down on Franklin Street!  It’s through your faithful prayer and support and God’s amazing work that we are able to continue meeting for FREE at McAlister’s Deli!

Looking summerward, we are beginning to plan worship services.  When the fall arrives we will need a space to begin meeting for weekly worship.  We just to invite you to cover this in prayer.  Just pray that the Lord would make the space available to us.  We are looking for a space to rent out on Franklin Street for Sunday mornings.  Along those same lines we will also begin looking for office space on Franklin as well.  We are trusting in God’s continuing work to LOVE the people of Chapel Hill.  Thank you for lifting us up in prayer!

Today was the day

FreeFranklin took place today and it was a great success! We flew under the radar, loving people all over Franklin Street as they found that their parking was FREE today. Can’t thank you enough – those who prayed, helped and donated! This was an awesome day!

Were planning our next love chapel hill event. This one is a little more conspiracy like. Please be praying for lives on Franklin Street to be impacted for the kingdom. Can’t really give too many details here, but we’re rolling this out in the next couple weeks. Check out www.freefranklin.com for more info.

Great Trip To Bagley Swamp!

Thanks to all who prayed! We had an amazing Sunday at Bagley Swamp Wesleyan Church. Friendly, encouraging and loving people! Many thanks to Pastor James Spaugh for inviting and suppprting us! We have several new partners who joined this mission to love Chapel Hill with the heart of Jesus! So Awesome!

To Bagley Swamp

The COAHP Team is heading to Hertford, NC for the weekend. We are going to share the City on a Hill vision with potential partners and a partner church – Bagley Swamp Wesleyan Church. Yes, that’s Bagley Swamp

Please pray that people would be obedient to the leading of the Spirit. We are looking for partners who will commit to walk with us for three years either through prayer, financially or both. This is such a neat opportunity and a great group of people to share the vision with. We’ll give you an update on our return trip and let you know how it goes. Thanks for being a prayer warrior!!

UNC School Of Dentistry

That is Justin’s latest place of employment. Pretty crazy how God keeps opening doors in unlikely places. Please give the Lord praise for this new job and please be in prayer as this first week brings new challenges. This is a temporary placement as a lady is out on maternity leave, but even in a few short weeks and months the Lord can work. Thanks for all who have been praying for the jobs and finances for our team!!

Should Know Soon

Thanks to all who prayed while Matt & Justin were at OWU! It was a great trip for networking and relationship building. In the coming week we should be finding out who will be on our team this summer. A lot of potential! There are some awesome students coming out into ministry in the next couple years!! Praising God that we get to be a part of a denomination that cares about it’s student and is challenging them to make the most their lives impacting the Kingdom!
